ITACiao, sono Pietro Colantonio, ma tutti mi chiamano Piez. Sono nato a Chieti, nell’Italia centrale, tra mare e montagne abruzzesi, nel 1990. La mia vocazione è sempre stata quella di dare forma alla fantasia e ho passato la vita ad approfondire e sperimentare diverse tecniche per farlo in vari ambiti. Da bambino, disegnavo mondi fantastici, suonavo la chitarra e creavo storie e giochi per i miei amici. Crescendo, ho canalizzato queste attitudini in molteplici direzioni, esplorando il mondo dei videogiochi, del cinema dei fumetti e dell’animazione. Dopo oltre 15 anni di esperienza nel campo creativo, tra studi accademici e avventure imprenditoriali, mi sono trasformato in un creativo digitale multidisciplinare e un art director con una forte passione per il mondo del gaming, la gamification, l’animazione e la grafica pubblicitaria. Il mio punto di forza? Mi dicono l’affidabilità e la versatilità. Collaborare con team talentuosi mi permette di dare il meglio di me mettendo in gioco la mia intuizione, la creatività le conoscenza del marketing e nella cultura pop per trasformare caos in ordine e idee in realtà coinvolgenti. Durante il mio percorso universitario all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera a Milano e poi a Macerata, ho affinato le mie competenze in computer grafica, game design e linguaggio audio-visivo. Insieme a colleghi e mentori eccezionali, ho co-fondato l’associazione culturale MenteZero, ampliando così il mio bagaglio di conoscenze e passioni creative fin dai primi mesi universitari. Sono un nerd/geek incallito, appassionato di cultura pop, intrattenimento e tutto ciò che stimola la mente e l’immaginazione. ENGHey, I’m Pietro Colantonio, but everyone calls me Piez. I was born in Chieti, in central Italy, between the sea and the Abruzzo mountains, in 1990. My calling has always been to bring imagination to life, and I’ve spent my life diving deep into different techniques to do so across various fields. As a child, I used to draw fantastic worlds, play the guitar, and create stories and games for my friends. Growing up, I channeled these skills in multiple directions, exploring the worlds of videogames, cinema, comics, and animation. With over 15 years of experience in the creative field, blending academic studies and entrepreneurial adventures, I’ve evolved into a multidisciplinary digital artist and art director with a strong passion for the gaming world, gamification, animation, and advertising graphics. My strong suits? People say it’s my reliability and versatility. Collaborating with talented teams allows me to bring out the best in me, leveraging my intuition, creativity, marketing knowledge, and pop culture insights to turn chaos into order and ideas into engaging realities. During my university journey at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and later at Macerata, I honed my skills in computer graphics, game design, and audio-visual language. Co-founding the cultural association MenteZero with exceptional colleagues and mentors enriched my knowledge and creative passions right from my early university days. I’m a die-hard nerd/geek, passionate about pop culture, entertainment, and anything that stimulates the mind and imagination. In my portfolio, you’ll find a selection of my most significant works, constantly evolving alongside my creative journey.
